Vitamins And Minerals
Are Critical For Our
Health And Wellbeing

You may think that shop bought foods are providing you with all the vitamins and minerals you require, however the truth may shock you.

We all like to think that we eat healthily, but the reality is that in the last half century more than 50% of our supply of topsoil which is essential for food production has been destroyed, and along with it the minerals so critical to our wellbeing.

Substantial topsoil has been lost from over use of inorganic fertilizers, erosion and modern farming practices, all of which deplete soil nutrients.

Dr. Linus Pauling a two-time Nobel Prize winner said that...

"You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency."Quite a worrying thought!

The following is a percentage of mineral depletion from soil over the past century.

  • North America 85%
  • South America 76%
  • Asia 76%
  • Africa 74%
  • Europe 72%
  • Australia 55%

You may think that with so many supplements on the market there wouldn't be a problem. However the minerals in some supplements are not in a form that is easily digested, and as a consequence is of little if any benefit. Minerals required to keep the human body healthy need to be derived from plants.

All of this makes growing your own food most beneficial. Of course not everyone has the time, or is in a position to grow their own food, so taking plant derived minerals in a supplement form is a great way of ensuring that your body gets all the vitamins and minerals it needs to stay as healthy as possible.

Here are a couple of studies that share more light on this complex subject.
